We remember our veterans . . .

As we come up to another Veteran's Day, our thoughts and prayers go out to our soldiers and sailors, their families and friends. We have a country that was bought with the blood of many men and women, and we owe a debt of gratitude to those who chose to stand for the freedoms we have.

Below is a link to a YouTube video that we found particularly moving. It is about 5 minutes in length, and will touch your heart. If you don't have time right now, save this email and view it later. This video was created in Nova Scotia in 1996 , and although it was created for a Canadian audience, the message is timeless and universal.

Windows 7

You have seen the commercials, "I'm a PC, and Windows 7 was my idea."

Jamie took the plunge and installed Windows 7 on his laptop about a month ago. And if you know Jamie, you know he likes to get into a new product and give it a thorough test. Well, although our humble technician wouldn't claim to have inspired the changes in this operating system, he is enjoying the performance boost over Vista. There are a few other bells and whistles that he thinks are pretty cool, especially the task bar functionality.

The bottom line is that even in the most radical tech forums, we are seeing feedback that "Microsoft may have done it right this time."

So, should you upgrade to Windows 7? It all depends on what operating system you are now using, and your computer's capabilities.  Give us a call (636) 240-0505 and speak with Jamie or Jeff and they can give you some sound advice.

We have found a
NO COST
Content Filtering Solution!

Did you know...
  • Pornography is a $57 billion a year industry. In comparison, the combined revenues of all teams in the NBA, NHL, MLB, and NFL is $12 billion, and the combined revenues of ABC, CBS, and NBC is a mere $6.2 billion.
  • 1 in 4 youth have unwanted exposure to inappropriate pictures each year.
  • Nine of 10 kids aged 8-16 have viewed pornography on the Internet, often in the process of doing homework.
  • Students were most at risk for cybersex compulsions due to a combination of increased access to computers, more private leisure time, & developmental stage characterized by increased sexual awareness & experimentation. Both computer classes & colleges might need to recognize this increased vulnerability and institute new primary prevention strategies.
  • One in five children ages 10-17 have received a sexual solicitation over the Internet
  • 74 percent of commercial pornography sites display free porn images on the homepage.
