We will celebrating our grand re-opening and ribbon cutting at noon on Friday, June 19, 2009.  Celebrating with us will be our friends and business partners from the O'Fallon and Wentzville Chambers of Commerce and the City of O'Fallon.

Approximately 5 seconds after she had the thought, that she better be careful not to spill her coffee, she did, soaking the keyboard of her laptop. She promptly tipped the laptop to let most of the liquid run out, and then proceeded to help it dry out with her hair dryer.  Good theory, however, she melted the keys of her keyboard.  She called us in a panic, and handed her beloved laptop to Jamie - hoping that he could at least pull documents off her hard drive. (She didn't have a recent backup.) Fortunately, we were able to completely revive her laptop, and set her up with a new keyboard.

1. Enforce a rule that you do not eat or drink near your laptop.  (Yeah right, that is one rule that we only expect our children to follow.)
2. Should you have a mishap with any liquid, immediately shut down your computer, remove the battery, and unplug the power cord.  This could help you avoid further damage.
3. Call us, and bring your laptop in to the shop.  We may be able to revive your drowned computer, retrieve files, or minimize the damage.
4. Make sure you have timely back-ups of your documents and email/contacts.  We have very cost effective remote back up services available. Call us at the office 636.240.0505 to discuss your back-up options.
5. Unfortunately, some machines do not survive - so the best offense is a good defense.  Refer to tip #1.
